Not going to lie, February was kind of the worst. Has anyone ever had a good February? I can’t even remember doing that much, aside from coming down with a plague-like illness and celebrating Peanut’s eight year adoptaversary (that makes her about 11, which is weird since she’s just a baby).

Since I don’t have much of a recap this month, I thought I’d share a few things I’m loving instead.
Pilates - recently my love for Pilates has been reignited, as I’m looking for movement that is lower impact and helps my body feel good. I love how it’s slightly dance-like, and how great I feel afterwards. I’ve been going to small group reformer classes here, and the instructors are wonderful.
Jenni Kayne cashmere fisherman sweater - I got this in heather gray during a Black Friday sale last year (PSA: never by JK full price, they have sales very regularly!), and I love it so much. It’s warm and cozy and can be dressed up or down. I also love the cropped cashmere cocoon sweater, which I have in oatmeal, and also wear often. I know they are a bit pricey, but the cost per wear is reasonable to me (girl math).

Poshmark - I resurrected my Poshmark to sell a few items, if you’re in the market.
Summer House - I know it has been around for a while, but I’ve always thought I was a little too old for Summer House. I think I was… incorrect? I guess you’re never too old to be entertained with catty drama. I started watching the current season, and it’s a perfect show for when I want to turn my brain off for a while.
Daily gratitude journaling - I think because February was such a blah month, this has seemed extra important to do rather than get caught up in a lot of negativity. Sometimes I also do a brain dump of sorts, but at the very least I try to jot down 3-4 things I’m grateful for. As cheesy as it sounds, it does help.
The Wedding People - I loved this book. It’s heartbreaking and engaging and warm; 5 stars. I also read Sally Rooney’s Intermezzo this month, which was also excellent.
Danucera Creme Supreme - this is a skincare line developed by Danuta Meiloch, the founder of Rescue Spa a.k.a. one of my happy places. I got a wonderful facial last weekend and received a sample of this moisturizer - it is so decadent and hydrating, and my very dry winter skin loves it. It’s pricey, so I’m still debating whether to invest in the full size once my sample runs out (the girl math is calculating…).
NCAA Gymnastics - college gymnastics season is in full swing! I am still loving the LSU team this year, they are so much fun to watch (especially Aleah Finnegan). UCLA is also crushing it, and Oklahoma is Oklahoma (but with a little less consistency?). It’s also nice to see Georgia doing well after the coaching change - they are now coached by Cecile Landi, Simone Biles’ coach.
Now, onto March. Take good care :)
Happy birthday Peanut!!! And yes, feb has been totally blah. I need to get back on my gratitude journaling, thanks for the inspo!
