Nutrition: Grocery staples lately
Just like the recipes I rotate, my grocery lists seem to change by the season or with what I’m particularly enjoying lately. Here are a few staples of late and why they keep making repeat appearances in my cart:
In particular, Whole Foods 365 Rigatoni. This pasta shape goes perfectly with this recipe, this one, and with the chicken parm I plan on making tonight for dinner. There used to be a time when I only ate whole wheat pasta because I thought it was “healthier” and that the white version was “bad.” Not so! The difference is literally a few grams of fiber and a handful of vitamins, which you can get from other ingredients in pasta dishes (like veggies and protein). The white version also tastes way better (to me!).
